New Years Resolution Idea… 30 Days of Writing
Posted by: | CommentsI recent watched the video ‘again’ by Matt Cutts over at ted.com
Over the past few days, I had been thinking about a cool new years resolution, but I’ve always gotten hung up when considering each change, knowing that it likely won’t be something I can get to stick and last the test of time.
However, after seeing that Matt decided to ‘draw’ something for 30 days, I thought, ‘stop thinking about it so much’ and do something that you’re unsure about.
So, I’m going to try to write something each day this month, that get posted somewhere on my network of sites. I figure, even if it’s keyword focused it would definitely be a great habit to get into when I get up in the morning.
If you’re an internet marketer, I think one of the biggest road blocks you run into is distractions. Checking email, analyzing traffic, chatting via IM, researching trends and news, etc… The list goes on and on and the never ending launches, new products, and random theories about SEO definitely have their place.
I know a few guys in network marketing who make a very handsome living, strictly because they are disciplined in writing good content, every day, that brings in a few visitors a day. I KNOW that this stuff really adds up, and if you put forth real ‘effort’ consistently, it pays off.
So, if you’re looking for a new year’s resolution, hopefully this inspires you, and if not, maybe one of my next 29 articles will.
WE Got Featured!
Posted by: | CommentsWe recently had a blurb related to our network marketing journey published on It Works Global, and I wanted to make sure I showed any/all who were interested. (I also am trying to get a link to a new domain, and mess with the SERPs. haha)

Article Theft! – The Unfortunate “Farmer” Side-Effect…
Posted by: | Comments
This post won’t be too long, just jam-packed with goodness.
In doing a bit of research in my downtime this week, I noticed that TONS of my articles had be thieved from the various content sites (now deemed “FARMS”), e.g. ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com etc…
Basically, there are thousands of blogs just stealing content from these farms, and because google has dis-credited these so-called ‘farms’, the thieves are ranking as the original source!
It’s like the fake jordans getting sold on ebay for more than the originals.
Anywho, I could post dozens of examples, but its very easy to see what’s going on. Just pick any ol’ article on goarticles.com, and google a phrase from the article in quotes.
The farmer update did ‘some’ good, and I openly acknowledge that (even though it hurt some of my business). But, this just encourages thievery, and kills ANY benefit that could have still been gleamed from real article marketing.

new sites! (affbox.com, tutorsly.com)
Posted by: | CommentsOver the past few months, I’ve been working on a few new sites, (also why I haven’t updated here in a while) and I’m just excited to share them…
That’s really it for now, just wanted to share what I’ve been up to… Don’t be afraid to jump into new spaces and keep things new and exciting!
flexx professional theme… installed.
Posted by: | Commentswell, I got bored and decided to change the theme of my blog tonight.
I have to say, even though I’m not totally sold on the ‘look’ of my site right now, I’m LOVING the flexibility of this template. I only wasted an hour or so getting images and headers setup (not quite done yet, however).
If you have a wordpress blog and you’re looking for a nice template, definitely google the ‘flexx theme’.
I might not keep this theme active on my blog for all too long, but I guarantee i’m going to use my multi-site license to crank out a few more sites using this. You can change the # of columns, the header navigation, background colors, etc… Very nice little perks for a $79 theme.
Anywho, just wanted to share the experience and give a review. I’m pretty certain someone will find this after googling “flex review” and might find it helpful.
cheers!
feeling thankful in oz…
Posted by: | Commentsso, here I am, sitting on my balcony, half-way round the world in Melbourne Australia…
it was 90 degrees today, so naturally, now that its 9PM its cooled to about 70 with a nice breeze. Seemed like the perfect time to grab a beer and write a blog post.
I think the most proper thing to do, would be to THANK all the cool people I’ve learned from over the past year…
first off, our good friends, and biz partners Kami and Nate… (our biz partners whom we traveled to OZ (australia) with) – they literally built our ‘mlm’ business for us, while we were skeptical and incapable in the early goings.
second, all my teammates, downlines, and sidelines in It Works Marketing… I take them for granted sometimes, but I am thankful, b/c if it wasnt for them, I wouldnt be here right now.
third, my friends Matt Koshko and Darren Olander… these guys don’t even know they helped me. their software and list building programs gave me the capital I needed to really get going with my business(es) and make the money I needed to retire (I like to say retire, even though I work my TAIL OFF online still) (but love it)

www.darrenolander.com
fourth, my family, my friends, and the internet top-dawgs… all these persons fueled my fire to KEEP learning. and learning is really what makes it all happen. if I would have quit even 1 year ago, I’d be broke, bored, and not half-way round the world, and retired at 28.
so, thanks OZ, thanks friends, thanks fam, and thanks It Works.
Instapaper – Honest Review… (No Commission)
Posted by: | Comments
Here’s another random tech/organizational tip for ya that has saved me a ton of time lately.
www.instapaper.com – You can create an account for free. (no commission or affiliate link)
It happens to me several times per week… I’ll have a ton of tabs open in my web browser with great articles that I’d really love to read from different sites all over the web. The problem is actually finding time to read them. I used to try and bookmark them but inevitably, I would forget to come back and actually read them. Plus, for me, sorting through bookmarks is never all that effective.
Instapaper installs a small shortcut in your web browser that says “Read Later”. Each time you find an article that you’d love to read but don’t have time for at that moment, just click the Read Later button and all of the content of the webpage will be automatically copied over to your instapaper account and available to read whenever you’re ready.
You can also sync your instapaper account with Google Reader, or any RSS reader, and there’s also the free iphone app for catching up while you’re waiting in line someplace.
Hope you find this helpful!
